StreamBase Systems today announces that Betfair has selected StreamBase CEP. The selection allows Betfair, the world’s largest Internet betting exchange, to use StreamBase’s Complex Event Processing (CEP) platform to integrate distributed real-time event flows into the Betfair cloud platform.
The StreamBase CEP platform is a high-performance system for rapidly building applications that analyse and act on real-time streaming data. StreamBase CEP is distinguished by bringing together three significant capabilities in one integrated platform: rapid development via visual development; extreme performance with a low-latency high-throughput event server, and broad pre-built connectivity.
“CEP is a key enabling platform for next-generation, real-time analytics. A combination of StreamBase with Betfair’s distributed Event Processing Network will help us deliver the best possible user experience in the exchange and fixed odds betting markets”, said Alex Kozlenkov, Head of Research, Betfair Ltd. “Right now, our developers are really enjoying working with the StreamBase CEP platform and the rapid development environment of StreamBase Studio.”
“We are very excited to be selected by Betfair, a leader in the betting industry,” said Richard Tibbetts, CTO, StreamBase Systems. “The adaptability and performance of the StreamBase CEP platform will allow us to integrate seamlessly into the Betfair technology ecosystem and deploy innovative real-time analytics to the Betfair infrastructure.”
